I have been involved in the field of counselling and psychotherapy for over 25 years. I have completed trainings in both Counselling and Integrative Psychotherapy. I have considerable interest in relational psychotherapy, intersubjectivity, and clinical supervision
As well as working in private practice I work as a clinical supervisor for counsellors and psychotherapists.
I have special interest in bereavement and loss and have worked as a trainer and facilitator for Suffolk CRUSE. I have been a supervisor for the IAPT counselling service in Suffolk. I have also worked as an educator and a psychotherapist with adolescents and young offenders.
I am also interested in the clinical application of supervision. I completed my PhD research into the discourse of group supervision at the University of Leicester with Prof. Sue Wheeler and Prof. Ian Hutchby in 2018. (Thesis: ‘A Conversation Analysis of the Discourse of Group Supervision’)
I am currently Senior Academic Lecturer at Metanoia Institute for the MSc Integrative Psychotherapy programme.
